At times I tell myself that I don't care about what people think about my writing, that I write to satisfy only myself. But the fact is, I do care about what readers think. I'm not particularly proud of that fact, it points to a certain vanity that I wish wasn't there, but I can't get away from that feeling. And so when I sent out Advance Review Copies of the book, I was nervous about what I'd hear back. Well, early reviews are starting to come in and I'm pleased (and somewhat relieved) by the feedback. I'm happy to have received a good review from Kirkus Reviews, one of the oldest and most reputable independent book reviewers in the US, and I'm equally honored to have fellow writers whom I respect - Glenn R. Miller, John J. Jessop and Rick Spees - each provide words of praise (secular praise) for the book and an endorsement from Greg Thompson, the writer/producer for Bob's Burgers, one of the longest running sitcoms on TV. A huge thanks to this group for the willingness to be early readers and reviewers.
