Favorable Review from Publishers Weekly BookLife Prize

Publisher's Weekly sponsors The BookLife Prize and this morning I received a favorable review. A few highlights from their comments: 1) The book received a score of 10 out of 10 for Originality, and 8 out of 10 for prose. 2) BookLife commented that "Burkland packs immense humor and irony into his prose..." 3) I received a 7 out of 10 for plot and they included the following line, "Burkland's witty religious satire reimagining the birth of Jesus is sure to entertain..."

When I was writing the book, I didn't think I'd care so much about what others thought about the book or how it would be reviewed. But, I find myself caring (maybe a little too much) so getting these types of reviews is validating.
